[RESOLVED] Unable to login in Oculus Setup, error OVR40779122

The Problem: Error trying to login Oculus account from Oculus Rift S Setup: OVR40779122

My guess: I'm accessing from behind the Great Firewall of China, Oculus servers are probably being blocked. Using ShadowsocksR with my proxy couldn't resolve this problem though.

Solution: Adding Oculus hosts
These lines go at the end of C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts:
157.240.11.49 graph.oculus.com
157.240.11.49 www2.oculus.com
157.240.8.49 scontent.oculuscdn.com
157.240.8.49 securecdn.oculus.com

Note: There are other solutions on the Internet, for example changing the ipv4 DNS to a public one, e.g. 8.8.8.8, but this didn't work for me. Still not sure if it works for others, so I'm leaving it here.
